A client came in this morning to have his bike serviced.
As part of the To-Do list was to check on the rear Tyre Pressure Sensor, since it was just displaying --:--
I thought,
"Oh well, possibly just a flat battery"Plugged in the GS911 and it told me all was well, except that it wasn't displaying the pressures
Tyre Pressure sensor Status =
"Both Sensors OK".

Took the bike for ride to wake up the sensor. Still displays --:--
Came back to the shop and deflated the tyre. Still displays --:--
Eventually decided to remove the tyre and replace the battery anyway.
Was I surprised when I found this!

This is all that remained of the old sensor. Phoned up the client and asked him since when he was experiencing the problem with the TPS. His answer:
"Since I had the new tyres fitted!"So his sensor was obviously broken off by the tyre changing machine when they broke the bead.
Once I had fitted and relearned the new sensor, all was well again.
