.CSV file format change?
« on: March 15, 2024, 01:10:34 AM »
Here I am again servicing my 2014 R1200RTW and running the tests using the GS911. I have been doing this for nearly ten years and every time there is a new version of the software/firmware that has to be downloaded and every time there's a new surprise.
I always record about 5 mins of data to check if anything has changed. I figured out how to send a .CSV file link to my email last year but now the format of the .CSV file has changed.  Here's how they used to look:

3538;14.3;67.6;109.2;72.8;0;0;0;14.6;72.5;1192;1205;600;95;765;N;1;0;0;0;0;1;0;0;1;0;51.96;0;0;1;0;0;9;1.82;2.35;2.3;0.9;0.87;1;1;1;1;0;2.69;0
4966;14.6;67.6;109.8;72.9;0;0;0;14.6;72.4;1163;1204;590;717;107;N;1;0;0;0;0;1;0;0;1;0;51.96;0;0;1;0;0;9;1.78;2.47;2.47;0.9;0.9;1;1;1;1;0;2.76;0
6398;14.3;67.6;110.5;72.9;0;0;0;14.6;72.5;1219;1203;593;202;353;N;1;0;0;0;0;1;0;0;1;0;51.96;0;0;1;0;0;8.25;1.82;2.3;2.34;0.88;0.9;1;1;1;1;0;2.76;0

Pretty standard stuff and easy to open and graph in Excel

Here's how the latest ones look:

2196;12.40
2263;;86.6;137.1;119.8
2333;;;;;0.0;0.0;0.0
2385;;;;;;;;14.5;83.6
2453;;;;;;;;;;0;0;0
2613;;;;;;;;;;;;;481.0;483.0
2663;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;N
2733;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;0;0;0;0;0;1;0
2803;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;0
2855;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;1
2903;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;0
2955;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;10.00;0

Any idea whats going on?
Geoff

Hi Geoff,

Seems the number of parameters logged changed with every write instance. Not sure whether it's as a result of parameters selected? Sure strange.

I think the first, leftmost is the time in ms, which seems right.

I also log data (all selected) to check at my leisure later.

Have you tried the LiveGraph free software?

I use it and find it much easier to chart data than Excel. Not direct the answer to the question you asked... but perhaps you can consider. Good luck.
