BMW 1200GS Transmission reset
« on: April 08, 2023, 07:27:24 PM »
Out of curiosity I did transmission reset on my 2015 GS and afterword's it initially didn't let me quick shift and had to use the clutch. Then after a few tries the quick shifter started working again! No change with shifting smoothness once quick shift started working again. Anyone else have any experience with transmission reset?

Hi BmwBob

That's the standard process, when reading the instructions prior to completing the transmission reset, we advise that for it to be calibrated again for a system like the quick shifter, one needs to ride in each gear for approximately 10 seconds. Once that's done, the shifter will operate as expected :-)

Kind regards and safe travels
