Is it a recurring or intermittent problem?

This is a restriction on mobile devices.  Many (most) of the smartphones have a restriction on external connections, so once a connection is established to the gs911, you sacrifice your connection to the www.  Cloud services will therefore not be available.

Please inform the rest of the world how you manage to get multiple external connections on the same device at the same time.

The instructions I'm familiar with state that, if the GS-911 is connected by WiFi directly to your phone, you're in the device-to-device (D2D) mode and only emergency functions are available.  To get cloud functions you first establish a D2D connection, then use the 10.0.0.1 web page to connect the GS-911 to the WiFi network you wish to use for internet functions (breaking its connection with your phone), and finally connect your phone to the same network.  The phone would only have one external connection, the WiFi network.

I have setup the GS-911 on the hotspot on my iPhone.

So not to a normal WiFi network

Hi, I need some help. I have two R1200rtp bikes, one 2012, & 2013. I keep getting a "NO RESPONSE FROM CONTRTOLLER" when I try to re-set the date. The service display. On the interment cluster message, still says SERVICE. I have rechecked that I have the newest downloads and used a hard wirer connection. Every other function seems to work ok. Pleas help... :-\

I am having the same problem as above; failure to connect to Cloud. Firstly I am so confused now as I have read the instructions several times. Anyway I believe my problem may be due to poor internet service on my iPhone 7. I'm in a rural area and often my cell connection is only one bar and either in LTE mode or G3. I do not have home internet so I use my phone hotspot for internet access. I don't have a pc. I assume the issue with connecting with Cloud lies in the fact I have terrible internet access? Thoughts?

Thank you.

Poor internet connection will unfortunately lead to the frustrations you are describing yes.
