GS-911 USB at BMW K 1200 LT with ABS 2 (make FTE)

Dear all,

I have the GS911-USB connected by cable with a laptop and the downloaded Windows Software installed.

During scan the GS911 finds the engine controller, but not the ABS2 controller. Also the VIN cannot be read, so my GS911 still has 10 VIN places open.

On the website of HEXCODE is shown, that the GS911 is compatible to the BMW K 1200 LT and ABS is supported. But in reality my GS911 cannot connect to the ABS controller.

Any idea what's wrong? The bike is ok and works with the MoDiTec scanner from the BMW dealer.

Make sure your bike is on the main stand.  Some of the older bikes, like the RT, have all kinds of failures when on the side stand.

I understand why it is not showing the VIN. No problem for me, if the GS911 doesn't need it.

I wrote to HEX support yesterday and have sent the Autoscan report too. Now I'm waiting for an answer. If I will not find a solution, I will have to send the GS911 back to the seller. :-(

Make sure your bike is on the main stand.  Some of the older bikes, like the RT, have all kinds of failures when on the side stand.

many thanks, but it doesn't depend on the side stand. It looks like the GS-911 USB version is not compatible with the ABS2 module of the bike.

Perhaps this has something to do with the HEX Software? Have been using my USB/Bluetooth GS911 Enthusiast for probably 6 years. It has always reported the bike Model details and the VIN number. Scan done yesterday however, does not report this. Bike 2003 R1150RT. Attached the autoscan. I deleterd registered user name and GS-911 model number. the rest is as reported by the autoscan.

my understanding is ABS2 first came out in early 2007 (though that ought to be with new model year builds as of Aug 2006)
I also didn't think any K1200LTs had ABS2

so I'd expect its the normal early unreliable dead as a door nail, unfixable ABS issue many bikes this old had.
