I have this 08 R1200GSA in the shop at the moment.

At slow speed (moving in peak traffic) the motor will just cut out.  Can be restarted immediately however.

No faults are evident and valve clearances, rocket shaft end float, and sync is all in spec.

I notice however that the actual I-Level comes up as: Actual I-Level: Unknown I-Level:0x8b

When I initially connected the GS911 to do an Autoscan, it first gave me a "Checksum Error" and then an "Unknown Controller" error.  On the 3rd attempt it connected.

Anyone know what the cause could be?  Would it be a good idea to have software reloaded?

Certainly odd Jughead, the stall with no fault codes does suggest power loss or something mechanical

On the iLevel aspect how do the Hardware OE levels and FSV/OSV figures compare to other scans done on that model in the past ?

Hi Wayne.

Unfortunately no history on the bike.  Client recently purchased the bike privately from across the country, so no idea of what the OE levels were.  I have arranged to have the software updated at the local dealership, so will see whether it reflects the correct levels afterward.
