##;##
« on: November 25, 2015, 06:39:11 AM »
Hi to All,
Finally decided to give the GS911 a run on the R1200R 2012.
A couple of questions if I may
I appear to have the ## at the start followed by the single #, but all my items, temp, lamba etc are connected by ; and I cannot isolate them into a column so as to create a graph. I am using MS excel 2010 with Win 7 and the enthusiast USB GS911.
I was very impressed with the O2 graph and the other selected item graph. Can these also be copied or are they created from the Excel data.
Sorry to be sooooo dumb, if my neighbours kid was home he could probably figure it out.
Many thanks for your patience and perserverance.

Regards
John

Hi John, and welcome.

For starters, do not try to open the .csv file directly with Excel.

Open Excel with a new worksheet.

Click on "Data" and then "From Text" under "Get External Data"

Now you can browse to where you saved the .csv file.

Double click the .csv and your import wizard will start.  Click "Next"

On the left you will now see the option to select your delimiter.

Make sure you place a tick in the "Semicolon" box.

Click "Next", "Finish" and then OK.

All should then be sorted and everything should be in their respective columns.  Have a look at the screenshots below.

Dear Jughead,
Such an inappropriate title.
My most sincere thanks. The little hair that now remains was about to become more threatened.
In regard to the other question. Can the screen shot (O2 Sensor chart) be recorded, or is it simply created from the downloaded data.
My thanks again.
Regards
John

Hi John

The answer to your question is yes.  ;D

You should be able to recreate it from the downloaded data, and you could also do the Alt-Printsreen which should capture the active window.

Alternatively you can use a 3rd party application to do a screen shot or record the window.  You can use anything like "Faststone Capture" (my preference) or something like "PicPick" which will also do the job.

Both have the ability to be able to record and save an animated window as a video.
