GS 911 does not recognize my Bike

Hello All,

I have a R1200GS K50 2013/2014, I connect my gs911 correctly to my bike, I have VBAT=12,4V and VING=0,04V.
My device does not recognize my bike, when try to get ECU information for example allways I receive "No response from controler"

Anyone get someti-me this kind of error.

The current GS-911 will never work with the K50.   If you do a bit of searching you'll probably find the post by Stephan saying exactly why.  Something do with different interfaces (even though the connector is the same).   The story is the same for the K1600.

Thanks for your reply, now I have a little yellow brick to put over my desk , my gs911 became a useless device.

your new K50 became useless to a very useful yellow GS-911 ! 

on a serious note: the new K001 generation (K48, K50, K51, K52 and K17) have a completely new diagnostic interface... you will note that the pins differ... the physical interface is different, the protocol differs...  The did this with cars some years back... nothing we (or your GS-911) could do about it...

Thanks for your reply, I sold my GS911 to my friend that have one GS1200 2011, and he is happy with the new toy :-)
At the end of this year I will go to USA and I hope that the new GS911 will be available.
This device is awesome!!

The new WIFI GS 911 is not recognizing my 2014 RT... 

The bike is configured properly: key is on, kill switch is in proper position etc.

The device has been registered, updated, and despite a bit of difficulty, is plugged in properly.

I am using a Macbook Pro which appears to recognize the device properly via WIFI and USB.

I am at a loss for the moment...

Well, selecting the R1200RT model does nothing for me.  If I select either of the GS LC models I am able to read the ECU codes but that is it.  I am not able to see service/maintenance or even add my VIN.

Hi I just received my brand new gs911 wifi and I have a silly question, the service tools are disabled because the software is a beta version?

Never heard back from HEXCODE when I requested information.  However, Ted Porter at the Beemershop stated the software is currently not available to support the 14RT but it should be in the next update. 

I am disappointed nobody from HEXCODE replied to my message...

I recommend a look at the Function chart on the Hex website. It seems some service functionality for the K50 R1200 GS LC will become available with the next beta and even more in a slightly more distant future.

Now that you looked the answer up yourself, the next beta will be available even earlier because StephanT and the gang didn't have to interrupt their work with improving the product to answer this question.
