Deutsche or Superseal connectors?
(1/1)
GlynH:
Hi there,
I’m looking to make some custom harnesses to be used to fit accessories such as Denali lights, Schroeder illuminated roundels etc. on my bike fitted with ezCAN II and to that end am looking for a kit that contains the relevant housings, pins, seals and crimping tool.
I’m not sure whether the ezCAN uses Deutsche connectors or Superseal connectors or whether they are indeed one and the same?
Which connector type does the ezCAN use and can anybody recommend a decent kit complete with all the bits I would need to custom build harnesses please?
I’m covered for most other types of connector, heatshrink, braided sleeving etc. but being a bit of a neat-freak would like to add a Deutsche/Superseal kit to my toolkit!
Thanks & kind regards,

For the second time in 5 minutes I'm replying to my own thread to close it! :P
Seems the 3-Pin ezCAN connectors are called MT connectors(?) but to me MT connectors will always be a different type used for fibre optic connections.
The 3-Pin connectors fitted to the Schroedie illuminated roundels/emblems are called Superseal 1.5 and so I purchased a set comprising 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, & 6-pin male & female connectors, male & female pins, seals & the red pin retainers for this and future jobs.
The pins can be crimped by changing the dies in my ratchet crimping tool and I have now made my own harnesses up using these connectors sheathed in black braided sleeving with the ends tidied up with heat shrink. Good job if I say so myself! ;)
