ESA front “not recognized”
« on: March 30, 2024, 07:50:21 AM »
Hi first post here.
2013 R1200R looking for info I suppose.
Hooked up my GS911 just to check for codes or anything. Clicking around, oh, I can calibrate the ESA, cool never done that, let’s do it.
Pulls up the screen, front shock and position, (not recognized)
Rear shock and position 555, and 931 or whatever numbers it said.
For some reason it’s not recognizing my front shock, which does in fact have a wire coming out of the bottom, so I’m confused now. Just wondering if anyone has seen or heard of this. Maybe there’s some info I could use, thanks.

So, I’ve been told, the front does not have preload adjustment, that the ESA just works the dampening on the front, which is why it can not be calibrated.
Sounds like I’m alright…

That was confusing for a night.
