2018 F850 GSA coding
« on: November 28, 2023, 07:39:05 PM »
Hi there to all

Been testing GS911 on a 2018 BMW F850 GSA bike for instrument panel coding with no results
GS911 requested to send an E-mail for Cloud Services but since connectivity at that time was an issue it was impossible to do
Is there a specific procedure for it?
Or may it not be possible to change the coding in this bike?

As a reference, GS911 was updated to the latest version before attempting the code change

Hello
A stable internet connection is a prerequisite for encoding your XKOMBIHI Instrument Cluster.
The reason is the previous upload of the existing Coding. This is saved in the cloud and can be
accessed again afterwards in order to be able to reverse the setting.

Hope this helps

So there is no option without a stable internet connection
What about keeping the code back up at the computer as a log (or something like that) till reaching a stable internet connection?
Would it be possible?

You need a stable internet connection.
I believe all coding is done this way without exception.

Well, some coding features can be changed while others not
For instance, the initial salute message can not be changed in this bike while Mp/gal to km/lt can

Just my 02 cents
