diffence between k001, k024, k1x

Hello everyone,

The question is if there is any diffence between k001, k024, k1x models. Is not clear (at least to me) if the difference is the connector or the compatibility with bikes.
I’m looking for a gs-911wifi  second hand and I don’t know if there is only one gs-911 wifi version (with different kind of connectors and license) with the same compatibility of bikes.

The difference between k001, k024 & k1x models is the BMW electrical system type/designation & diagnostics protocols. In simple terms :-

K1X  -No CAN BUS, OBDII K-Line Diagnostics Protocol
K24 - CAN BUS, OBDII K-Line Diagnostics Protocol
K001 - CAN BUS, CANDiag Diagnostics Protocol

In terms of the GS911, The red GS911's handle all 3 ,model types & the old yellow GS911 only handle K1X & K24.

The latest GS911's have the 16 pin OBDII connector to suit the latest bike models & an adaptor cable is available to connect to the older model bikes with the 10 pin round connector. There is also an adaptor cable for the older 10 pin round GS911 WiFi's to connect to the bike models with the 16 pin OBDII connector
