2017 BMW R1200GS LC K50 throttle adaptation
« on: March 02, 2020, 11:56:58 PM »
Hi there to all.
As far as I can understand GS911 must be able to run throttle adaptation in this bike.
I been trying madly to perform such a procedure but can not find it (yes it may be so basic) but fact is I can not perform it so far.
Here the complete bike autoscan in cas any can help.

Hi, I am also needing to do the same. I am waiting for my GS-911 to be delivered today. I will fiddle with it when home. I know there is a youtube vid of a guy doing it on a RR1000. I think I will go over the vid a few times to see how he does it.

I will post my steps when I figured them out for you.

Hi Exopar, I managed to do mine last night, was bit of a rush as we in South Africa have loadshedding of electricity and I wanted to do before our area was affected.

So normal steps to connect the device select the model  mine was R1200 LC (2014+)

Then select service, and then select engine.

There you should see two dropdown menus one having something like Oxxxx etc. and below that mine was on ASC/XXXX i think.

If you click the bottom one it will give you more options, so just select around in those  two dropdowns and you will find, throttle control Idle mixture, etc.

Just for interest the suspension reset is there as well and gear reset so just click around to find the engine related resets.

I then just reset those (idle throttle etc) was 4 things i reset. the software tells you when to switch the bike ignition on and off. And one reset says you should run the machine till the fan kicks in. I let mine run till fan kicked in second time.

If you do the one of them the engine runs rough and you have a lot of clicking after a minute or so it disappears and the idle does smooth out.

As I said was a bit of a rush.

Happy to answer questions if you have, I will try to take some pics tonight of the screens etc if we don't have loadshedding again.
