I am a newbie. I recently received an older GS911 USB to help me troubleshoot my 02r1150r.  i have been getting intermittent faults (fast flashing light along with disabled rear brake circuit) for the last few months. The fault does eventually clear itself and does not always store the codes in memory.
I have had it to my local shop and unfortunately it did behave while it was there.
This is why i wanted a GS911 so I could catch the code as it happens.
I did receive a 17423 and 17167 (invalid vehicle coding) and a 17915 (defective warning lamp).
What do these mean and what should I do or where should i be looking. I do not see a list of the codes and probable causes. Is there a list available anywhere? I called one of the shops and he has not heard of these.
He tells me they may be specific to the GS911.
I would appreciate any help.
Thanks,.

Hello Steve
If these  17423 and 17167 (invalid vehicle coding) and a 17915 (defective warning lamp) are allways intermittent,
remember that coding of this modules will be set by connecting specified pins on the ECU with ground.

Maybe the ground connections are not in the best order.
Schönen Tag
