Details wanted for Fault Code 23993

This is my second try to do this post. One wrong keypress and poof! the first try was gone. If you see that incomplete post about 23993 and wonder how I did it, so do I. 

My '09 K1300GT lights the Brake Error light and logs Fault Code 23993 when I use both brakes very hard like at a surprise red light stop. Also the rear brake pedal "gives" just a little bit right before the stop is complete. The Error light goes away when I turn the key off and back on.

My GS-911 reports "23993 Pressure monitoring, rear, secondary circuit"
 
Searching the 02/2009 edition of the BMW Repair Manual CD got no hits on "Fault" or "23993".

Does anybody recognize this Fault or is there a publication that elaborates on what to fix for error codes?

Condition for fault memory entry >>  Air in brake system
                                                           Pump delivery rate too low;
                                                           Separator valve leaking  (IntegralBrakeSystem)
What to do >>
Read out pressure values and check for plausibility, observe fault
Bleed brake circuit
