Hi all,

I installed the latest version of the downloader, ran it, and connected my GS911 when prompted. When I click the download options button I get the message "Failed to connect to the downloads server". I tried on two different PCs with the same result (both have internet connectivity)

Any ideas?

Hi, same results here. I first believed it to be a Hexcode server problem and then a timeout.
So I tried a old "Downloader", version 1109.3.
I was then told I needed the new version: 1303.3... so the downloader did connect to Hexcode :-))
Anyways, I am sure this issue will be sorted and fixed real soon!

(or they will let you dowload without using the "Downloader")

Same here. Just received my GS-911 this afternoon and am trying to download the software. Frustrating but I'm glad to see it's not pilot error... there will be plenty of opportunity for that later! ;D

I've submitted a support ticket too so hopefully they're looking at it!

The issue with the server was fixed this morning (we're UTC+2).

Apologies for the inconvenience.

I just purchased a New/Old Stock GS-911, S/N: GS4..... with date code 2008/05/23.
I ran the downloader, but keep getting the message "Failed to connect to downloads server"

How to I register my device and get the latest software?

Many Thanks

Tried to get the new software today. I ran the downloader, but the message "Failed to connect to downloads server" pop up the whole time.
Any idea?

Tor,
My solution was to download with an older Windows OS (WinXP) and the copy the files over to my new laptop with Win8

Yes the server appears to be down now.

I don't know but given the holidays, it may possibly take a few days until someone is able to fix it.

Happy holidays to the GS911 staff and this user community!

Funny I get a message that says "please follow instructions on your browser"  but keeps coming up when you click on "Download Options".

Must be the server??

The GS-911 downloader application is designed to launch a browser for the download.

That much works for me but the webserver appear to not be responding properly. Different browsers may behave differently but the browser should eventually present some kind of error message. My conclusion is that the webserver is in need of attention from the administrator.

I just checked with both the down loader and also using the WiFi web interface and the Hexcode web system is working correctly so if you still have a problem it would seem it is other than the Hexcode system

I'm sorry, I never checked the download again today before responding. :-[

I assumed the problem was still present since people reported the same symptoms but you are correct, the server is responding normally now.

To anyone still having problems, begin with checking if it is your firewall and/or antivirus software that is interfering with the connection.
