R1200 heated grips turning on with GS911

I hooked myGS911 up to a 2009 R1200RT this morning and the grips heated up. This also happened on a 2005 R1200GS this week. All I was doing on the RT was resetting the service reminder. The GS I was testing for brake switch problem. Anyone else had a problem with this?
