Need help

As the proud owner of a yellow Blu Enthusiast device, I've been using it without any problems on earlier models since 2011. However, upon acquiring a 2014 GS ADV LC, I encountered an issue when attempting to connect and retrieve information from the bike. An error message consistently appears, stating, "FAILING TO RETRIEVE THE INFORMATION FROM THE BIKE." I'm wondering if there's a limitation preventing these yellow devices from functioning properly on LC models.

You need to look at the Hexcode web site to see if the old yellow GS911 is compatible with the LC models

The old yellow USB GS-911 is only compatible with models up to, but not including the R1200 LC and above (e.g. 1600cc models). You will need a red GS-911 WiFi device.  This is also backwards compatible. Note the Wifi model comes with either a round diagnostic connector or a standard 'D' type connector (as fitted to post 2017 bikes). Suitable conversion cables are also available.
