S Series / 0x3A1DE0 error code after replacing OEM headers
« Last post by fredpret16 on March 02, 2025, 05:05:40 AM »
Hi All
I've replace my 2024 S1000XR OEM headers with an Akrapovic, and now have a full system on the bike. I had no error codes come up initially, but after a few rides an Engine Control error (XBMS01) came up. If I check the engine controller error details if shows 0x3A1DE0 & 0x3A1EF0 with descriptions "Catalyst, Bank 1 & 2, conversion, efficiency below threshold". I can reset these errors with the 911, but eventually they reappear after a few stop/starts.
I assume it's because the catalytic converter is now removed and the Lambda sensors are picking this up. In the "live data" there are Lambda control factors set to 1, so not sure if these values needs to be changed or adjusted. Any advice will be appreciated.

GS-911 / Re: Adding DWA alarm to 2022 s100rr tft dash

Looks like one needs to enable the DWA controller to accept inputs from CAN, then it will listen to the Dash.

ezCAN / Re: Battery drain . . . ?

Ruan,
Many thanks for the prompt reply  :)

I think I spent too long messing around with the ignition on and lights on, etc.
I'm sure you're right - I put the battery on charge and it fairly quickly topped up to 12v (from 11.6) and now it all seems tickety-boo!

I much appreciate your feedback.

Best

ezCAN / Re: Ezcan Setting, for High beam / High Beam flash with Denali D3

Hi GS971

To confirm, you're looking to have your D3s off with low beam and on with high beam?

If yes, simply alter the low beam brightness in the ezCAN software to 0% and keep the high beam brightness on 100% to give you maximum visibility when you need it.

Kind regards and safe travels

Hi Wimblejon

Thanks for reaching out. Were these changes done with the ignition on? If yes, most likely the issue came in with the "On when engine running" feature not being enabled.

For some additional information, I've included an extract from our FAQs regarding the ezCAN draw while in sleep mode:
The device will still go into sleep mode with a maximum draw of 800μA (microamps)/hour. In order to completely drain a 12V battery, the ezCAN would need to be connected to it for more than a year with nothing else connected to the battery.

As with the GS-911, we always recommend having your bike on a trickle charger while working on it when the ignition is turned on. Even though the ezCAN and GS-911 draws exceptionally low currently while awake, that, together with the standard ECUs consumption, will drain a battery below the starting threshold quite quickly.

Kind regards
Ruan

Technical / Re: Fault Code OxE5845F

Thank You for the response. I have a really nice Foxwell Battery tester. I am new to this HexGS911 tool and forum. Does the Hex company ever help out with the codes and what they mean? Where can I find out what the codes mean?

Fault codes can be specific to a model, it is only really OBDII mandated items where codes can be generic

In the GS911 software Hexcode set up the ability to click on a fault code in an autoscan & it goes to their web server fault code explanation pages, it should be active in the current release software
