'Rules' of the 10vin limit

Quick query. I have a new GS911 wifi enthusiast version.  I'm happy to let friends use it for diagnostics, etc. But, which functionality decrements the bin count- is it just the service reset ?

this VIN addition will be done by using Service and Maintenance works, like Basic settings and adaptions.
