2017 F700GS support
« on: February 25, 2018, 09:01:10 PM »
I upgraded to a gs911 Wifi (from my older bluetooth version) thinking it would work with my wife's 2017 F700GS, but the software doesn't appear to be compatible.  Is there any timeline for when it will work?  I feel like it was a waste of $400 so far as all my other bikes work fine with my old gs911.

The function chart shows the model support  https://www.hexcode.co.za/products/gs-911/function-chart

It shows that while support for the 2016+ F Series twins is still being developed the WiFi GS911 will be needed due to the protocol changes BMW have made

This is currently our top development priority. We have been working hard to catch up with all the new bike models released by BMW over the past two years. The F700/F800 is an especially tricky one, since there are significant changes in the protocol used to communicate with the bike controllers. Otherwise it would have been relatively trivial to add support for these bikes. We are planning to add all the standard functions for these bikes in the next major release, so keep an eye on the announcements. Thank you for your patience.
