Beta 1310.1 error

I downloaded GS-911-Beta-1310.1.exe, installed it, which went fine, but trying to run it gives me a Windows error gs-911.exe cannot be started, Debug, Send error report, or quit without sending error report. I do have the current release 1303.3 installed also, which runs fine. I am running Windows XP.

Does anyone have this issue also, and what could be the problem?

I was to say the Beta 1309 was the latest..
When using the downloader I too got the Beta 1310.1.
Its working ok on a Win7 system, on a XP, SP3 (run under the Win7) and on a system with a "pure" 32bit XP- Sp3.
Will check it on a few more XP`s and let you know 
EDITED: Works ok on a old XP SP3 (32bit) laptop too.
Have 3 more to try it on- tomorrow.

FYI, running 32 bit XP version 2002 Home Edition with SP3. The previous betas worked fine on that, and so does the current release (1303.3). The beta in question (1310.1) never starts, never gets to the point where it opens a window. Windows tells me the gs-911.exe can't be run and needs to close. The Windows error dialog is the only thing I get to see.

I installed on 2 more XP, SP3 PC`s and it worked just fine.
Did you try to reinstall one of the older Beta`s (If you kept the innstallation files)
I guess this must be a problem on your PC and not a problem with the new beta?
If so, can continue this "private"- by email?
I do have a few suggestions.

make sure your PC time and DATE are correct, then uninstall and install fresh.

As posted on the K-model specific board, I've just started making enquiries into trading/selling my K1600 due to poor dealer customer service. I could continue to live with my BMW if I had a timeframe for the new GS-911. This year? Early next year? mid next year? Never?

Any ideas, before I go and drop another load of $$ on a new bike for the second time this year?

ouch.. sorry to hear the dealers are giving you such bad service... what are the issues with your bike?

seems like we could use a problem bike in our Beta test program... if you're willing to participate...? (just throwing it out there )

I've spent 6 months and over $600 fighting about the stupid RCDS that doesn't work, even yo BMW's specs. Since the "Green N update" I've lost over 70km of fuel range. I followed the request by the dealer and took it up with BMW, who insisted I " put it in writing". Now the local dealer don't let me back in the shop because I wrote a letter to BMW to complain! Now I have no back up for general servicing at all. The next closest dealers are a 5000km return trip. I've covered 40,000km this yeAr alone. Servicing is about every 10 weeks in my case.

I basically need to be able to do general servicing, however a backward compliant unit would allow it to be used on other bikes. A local workshop that does all the servicing on the police RT's (they don't use the dealer either) has expressed interest in a unit if I purchase one.

I'd be more than interested if it was possible to purchase one and prove it worked in a place with only on line support.

Hello, i have download the Beta Version GS-911 Beta V1310.1 today. Avira Free Antivirus has detect the Trojan Crypt.Xpac.Gen and blocked this Program!!!Is the problem known?
Can i use the Version 1303.3 for F 800 GT.

Maybe get a better anti-virus scanner  ...there's an old saying.. you get what you pay for    ...just kidding... BUT this is indeed an Avira issue... you are welcome to mail them about it... and yes, it is a known issue... have a look at the related FAQ:
