2017 1200gs limp mode no throttle
« on: October 05, 2021, 10:46:16 PM »
I have a 2017 1200gs that is going to put me over the edge.

It will go about 100-150 miles and then go into limp mode with no throttle response. Turning the bike off and back on resets the issue and sometimes you can go another 100 miles or maybe only 10 feet before it does it again. All the millage is aprox since I have not found any rhyme or reason to it. So far it can not do 300 miles over a 2 day period without going into limp mode.

Once the problem happens it will progressively get worse until you can only go 10 feet. It does seem like letting it sit over night helps reset it to some extent.

The dealer has replaced the twist grip but that did not help at all. The hardest part is trying to put the test miles on it to figure out if it is fixed or not.

here are 2 different scans from my gs911

Any help could save a life  ;D
