R1200GSW 2015 K50 Keyless Ride Broken. Need Advices.
« on: July 11, 2019, 07:36:49 AM »
Hello guys.

I have a R1200GS 2015 K50, and a GS911 Pro here at home.
I was caught in an accident and the keyless ride ignition lock was broken.
I absolutely need to buy another one for replacement.
I dont have the emergency key.

Questions are:

(With USED Keyless Ride Ignition lock buy from ebay)
1. Can the GS911 reprogram the OLD FOB, if i found my OLD Emergency KEY ?
2. Can the GS911 Reprogram the BRAND NEW FOB if i found my OLD Emergency key ?

2. Or i should buy a brand new set of Keyless ride Ig lock + Key FOB + Emergency key code. If do, do i need to reprogram it ? And can GS911 do it ?

Thank you very much with best regard.
Thank you

Hi,

The GS-911 cannot yet code keys to the XSLZ controller (keyless ride) found on your bike. However even with a normal ignition the GS-911 can only enable and disable known keys to the immobilizer, so it cannot program a new set.

If you plan on getting a new keyless immobilizer fitted, BMW will need to code the immobilizer to the bike.

I had been asking around, and the result was not so good.
I think i should not be thrifty this time.
I will order a brand new set of Keyless Control unit
Thank you very much.
