Hi All, I have replaced the instrument cluster with a used part with less KMs than the original and get fault code 37685 (BMS-KP and KOMBI mileage discrepancy) which I could live with.
However, the ABS warning lamp is now permanently on and I get fault code 24153 (ABS variant coding error). All other ABS tests are OK.
The warning lamp flashes (as normal) after a reset, but remains on after ignition is turned off/on. The autoscan report from before replacing the cluster does not show fault 24153. Is 24153 caused by the replacement of the cluster or could it be coincidentally a fault with the ABS?
Am I right in suspecting that only the dealer can update the ABS variant, same as with correcting the mileage discrepancy fault?
Many thanks, Andrew (Singapore)

The dash assemblies & BMSKP store ODO,VIN & Vehicle Order info, there is a routine in the Dealer System to correct ODO msmath issues. GS911 will show the VO stored in each of the dash & BMSKP, You would need to look at the Vehicle Order differences between BMSKP & Dash to understand the ABS lamp issue & I am not certain if there will be any solution, in either the Dealer system or GS911 coding, I am aware of people simply disabling the ABS display
