Title: Body Controller "No response from the controller"
Post by: Sitt on May 31, 2025, 09:18:41 AM
Just bought the GS911 and my first AutoScan on my 2022 BMW 1250 GSA comes up with - Body Controller "No response from the controller" I tried scanning the bike with the engine on and off but still get the same error. Can anyone shed some light on this please

Hello Sitt

don't worry. that comes up with the latest software update.
The Body Controller (high) is listed here, even though your motorcycle is equipped with the XBCL Lite.
I don't know the reason for this.
I think the software will be changed shortly.

Same story over here on a 22' RR. I am wondering if it is still possible to do some coding work on that particular module. For example to do the DRL coding the tool changes settings inside the body controller module.

I too am getting the same error on a 2016 R1200RT

It only started since the latest software update

Same issue on 2020 R1250RT with new software release (No response from the controller)

However the Satellite Body Controller (XFSA) continues to report correctly with no issues.

Ride safe -
Larry

Hi Guys

Just to shed some light here - It's a false positive in the autoscan Controller Summary. Note that the Body Controller Lite is listed with zero faults. We are investigating why the autoscan is triggering this report. You will still be able to access the body controller ECU and perform service functions, it's just the autoscan that's throwing a weird state.

Kind regards
Ruan

I also have this false positive.  I want to add that I also had two fault codes for the semi active suspension module that were logged/triggered when I connected my GS911 to do the recent DRL coding.  I think I coded the the DRL feature first and then ran an autoscan after.  That's when the two fault codes came up.

I cleared out the fault codes and did another autoscan of which they haven't reappeared.  I haven't had a chance to take my bike out for a test ride to see if the codes come back or not.

My bike is a US 2022 K67.
