Hi Adamg78
Assuming this is on a US bike, we are looking into this function for future application, but currently it is not yet available. Please sign up to our newsletter to get updates on what features are released with new versions:

Hi,thanks for the reply.
No it's a EU bike .
-
Is this available yet?? Id rather buy this then Bimmerutility!!!!
-
Any luck on this yet I bought a GS911 Wifi and would love to do this!!!!!!
-
+1 to wanting this feature, but on a 2024 S1000XR!
BT Moto has a walkthrough doing it with bimmerutility for 2020-2023, and there's some jabroni on the various forums saying he can do it if you let him remote into your laptop while connected to the bike with an enet adapter, but I have a GS-911 sitting right here.... :)

Hi All
Just to update, we've finally gotten this released to beta, once some US testers confirm it's working as expected, we'll add that to our next release (hopefully before full summer for you guys) :)
Kind regards and safe travels

Ruan, I'd happily be a beta tester for y'all if that's an opt-in thing. I'm on a 2024 XR.

Hi Asellus
Please send through a full autoscan of your bike to support@hexinnovate.com and I'll query with the developers if we can use additional testing on this first thing tomorrow.
Kind regards

Got them enabled on my 2024 S1000XR just now. Quick, painless toggle. The indicator is on the dash, the menu option to enable/disable is there, and they automatically toggle very quickly.
A quick video showing them toggling on and off from behind the dash and looking at the headlamps. The LED running lights brighten significantly when the headlight itself is off:

Very nice.

Thanks for the feedback and the video 8)

Inquiring minds want to know -- when is the update expected to release to make the DRL function GA?
-
^^. Wanted to see if there is already a date set for the release

We're hoping to get this out to ProUnlimited next week, and shortly after to the general public.
Kind regards

Are we there yet??? 😂😂😂

I refresh the website every week to see if there’s an update lol. Any idea when it’ll be available?
-
I got an email response yesterday from them that said for premium membership they are shooting for next week.
-
any work being done on XKOMBB2-equipped K001 bikes?
-
Checked the website a few days ago and it said the update would be out to public today. Now all that has disappeared. wonder what happened.
-
Was wondering the same thing. Been anticipating this update for such a while.disappointing

I am wondering if it has to do with the fact I got the update downloaded and installed and now my cluster is screwed! I don't know how to reset it. USA bike, tried the DRL and now my bike has all kinds of warnings and errors. Says alarm system failure and I don't have an alarm on the bike. ITs also now in ENGLISH UK settings and not English USA settings and It has menus for alarm and daytime running lights but I cannot change the settings back to how I had them. Anyone know how to revert back to the way I had it prior to trying this? I am lost!!
Update: I was able to restore to a previous backed up version, thankfully.

I also have problems after the update of the tool. First I updated the hex tool to the latest version. Then I did a complete scan of my bike, but tool says that my body controller module is not responding. The bike runs fine without any faults in the dash. I am not sure if the update is faulty or the body controller module is faulty.
The coding went wrong and luckily I was able to restore it to a previous version of the body controller module. Which is also strange because the tool kept saying that it did not get any response.

Which bike do both of yall have? A new update became available today.
-
23' S1000rr and we are talking about the update that was released today
-
22' S1000RR, EU bike. Maybe the EU version is the problem?
Do you mean they fixed the wrong update? I will take a look at that later today. I am afraid to do the DRL coding again.
-
I don't know what was "fixed" all I know is there was a new software released today that had the option to enable the daytime running lights on some newer model bmw's. I updated my gs911 and then when connecting to the bike and trying to code the drl's it came back with an error and locked up. I had to restart the software and the bike and when I did it had all kinds of errors and was in UK english with menus that I never had on the bike b4. First error was "alarm system failure". I was able to restore the bike back using a previous backup and so far that fixed my bike but the DRL option will be a no go for me till they fix whatever it is. I uploaded all my Debug logs as they requested. I haven't heard back but I would figure they are looking at the logs as I am not the only person who has had an issue.

I think I managed to get the coding done. Because I have a EU bike, my bike already got the option for DRL in the menu to turn on and off the DRL but it did not function the right way thanks to BMW restrictions. First I performed the retrofit which removed the hole DRL option I already got. Then I performed another DRL coding because I was not happy at all that the first coding removed the entire option. After the second coding I went to the DRL menu and now when I enable the DRL's I can see the icon in the bottom of the screen.
I can not test it because its raining right now. I assume that the DRL is working. Am I right that you have to turn on the engine to get it work?

So, today started up the software and there was another update.. and now when I try to program DRL it ends with an error telling me it cannot program the bike due to it being in D2D mode and that it needs to be in infrastructure mode. Digging more info on that I find out that is an option for the WIFI version. I do not have the WIFI version. When reading more into that, I find out that the gs911 does not have enough onboard memory in order to execute cloud based programming. Therefore, it failed because I apparently do not have the wifi version and therefore no hex-cloud based programming abilities. Well, at least I now know !!!
