Title: GS-911 WiFi Pinout
Post by: karlh on January 17, 2023, 11:16:26 PM
I have a GS-911 WiFi with the round 10-pin connector.  Seven of the pins are active.  With a little research I ave been able to determine the functions of all the pins except pin 10.  Does anyone know the function of pin 10?

Pin allocations for the Kostal 10 pin & OBDII 16 pin plugs are all documented in the BMW electrical diagrams, as well as diagrams floating round the web so no research is needed to understand the pin allocations, the pin 10 you ask about  is +V-Ignition

In other words, pin 10 indicates key ON?

My research shows the same functions, but I believe pins 1 and 2 are not CAN, but rather ISO 9141.  CAN communication requires both CAN High and CAN Low lines.  CAN on the 10-pin connector is pins 7 and 9.

Correct.
Both lines are K-line ISO9141,
are listed as CAN diagnostics in the circuit diagram.
Question and answer were mainly about Pin10
