My previous fuel strip showed a heater element open circuit fault. I took it out and measured it and it was indeed open circuit. So I bought a new fuel strip, measured it (36 ohm and 2.5k) and installed it into an empty fuel tank. Now the heater strip fault is no longer present.
But I cannot calibrate the new strip. The calibration process starts, then it goes to "Waiting for controller" and after about a minute I get an error that the calibration did not complete on time.
No faults are recorded, I measured the strip resistance again and it's all good.
When viewing real time values I get 0mA for the heater element, and 0V from the sensor. I am not sure if these values remain 0 because of a failed calibration or not.
Anyone seen this before, or can give me any advice or tips to look out for? I'm guessing it's not a wiring issue as no faults are being recorded.
Quick update. Poured in some petrol, went for about 100km ride. Yellow light stays on, but no faults are present. Haven't retried calibration because I have fuel in it now. Any ideas?
