Does the latest WiFi GS-911 have the ability to make changes to the BMW 1200RT turn signal cancel time or distance settings?
-
OK, I will answer my own question.
Yes, at least for the 1200 hexhead/camhead. It can be not be turned off but the time can be changed and the distance to cancel can be shortened or extended.
Seems to be the same settings available to the dealer computer.

they seem to do a time and distance thing
33 flashes round town and 17 at higher motorway speeds (on both the GS or the K1300)
trouble with shortening 17 is too little on big European motorway junctions.... 19 would have been just enough, 20 far safer
its more a kill in case u forgot than something you are supposed to use....

Thanks for this finding DR, I will be lengthening my "highway" count also, oftentimes it's just a bit too short when you can't just move right over.
-
I need this feature to be made available for the F850GSA. Currently it is only listed as a future option. My signals are essentially non-self cancelling as they are currently since they will run far too long. I can ride over a kilometre at highway speeds before they finally shut off and several city blocks in town.

Is it possible to change these settings on GS1300? Trying to save a trip to dealer, self cancelling hasn't worked since purchased.
-
If the bike was purchased new and is still under warranty and the self cancelling has never worked then you should take it to the dealer and have them figure out why. After that then you can explore the different GS911 offerings on self cancelling.
