Hi there to all.

May be a dumb question but need answer anyhow.

Replacing the key antenna in a 2016 BMW R1200RS does it needs to be recorded? Programmed or adjusted to work?

No.
Not in my experience.
The ring antenna is merely a transmitter from the key to the immobilizer
