General Discussion / Re: Use 911 wifi unit with USB cable
« Last post by fatnlow on May 18, 2024, 06:35:39 PM »
I apologize if this is the wrong blog but I'm having problems and looking for help.  Since the most recent update of my GS-911, it will not function when connected to WiFi.  I have confirmed the the networks (tried 3 of them) are configured properly and recognized, when connected to a laptop via USB.  But at the bike, the tool will not function.  It is connected and on a 2.4 GHz network and the light is solid green, with audible confirmations of connectivity.  But when trying to use the diagnostic functions of the tool, it finds no device.

Back to the laptop and USB, even with configured networks and verification that the device is on that network, with the laptop and so on, it still does not show up in the device list and so the device diagnostics is grayed out.

I can use the diagnostic app on my laptop with the USB cable and connected to the bike.  All works as it should then.  But I obviously need the WiFi to work as it did prior to this update.

I've reached out to Support at Hex after working with my distributer with no success.  Help?

No idea John would let you know if I come across.

Can anyone post live values for their F750 or F850 for me to compare please.  Would be of great help, Thanks a lot!

Clutch switch 1 prevents the bike from starting in gear unless the clutch is disengaged.

Clutch switch 2 kills the cruise control if the clutch is pulled in even a small amount so as to prevent the engine from over-reving.

GS-911 Wifi / Re: Servo Motor - Clearing Code Problem
« Last post by Twempie on May 16, 2024, 07:06:48 PM »
Thanks for the tip, the servo eliminator does look like the better option. I'm just trying to figure out if my USA 2016 RT is Euro 3 or 4 compliant.

Yes the EU3/4 aspect crossed my mind as well, not sure how to work that out, VIN Decode or GS911 Autoscan are possibilities, Vehicle Order in Autoscan seems the most likely to have the answer

I've just learned that it's Euro 3 (from the BMWMOA wethead forum), but it's a moot point, as tech support from HealTech responded to my question with "all BMWs use the same ESE-BM1 unit".

More to come on this topic...

Hi Sayeed,

Thanks for the info re Clutch switches, I don't suppose you have now found what their functions are? I'm trying to see exactly how Hill Start Control works on my 1250GS and wondered if one of these switches might be involved in that.
