Title: BMW Brake Servos/ ABS Faults [common]
Post by: redders on September 03, 2015, 07:12:29 PM
General Question;
How has BMW escaped doing recalls on Brake Servo Systems?? I have a low mileage 05 1150RT with full service history including brake fluid change every year. The servo pump/ controller has packed in [or I should say valves therin]. Its £1600 plus labour to replace this 12lb piece of junk..doing research I know I am far from alone with this..any car maker would be slaughtered if they did this; what is going on, have I missed something here??

P.S the veriifcation process to post on here is rediculous unless you have manuals or google handy, maybe thats why there so few posts??

Welcome to club of failed iABS!

I tried in vain to get a recall through the UK VOSA organisation on my out of warranty but 7,000 mile old R1150RT.
