Title: Problem BMW r1150gsa and GS911

I tried to conect my new GS-911wifi to my old r1150gsa, but there is no comunication, i get an error message, using a wifi method, direct cable method, i did get to conect and read fault codes no the ABS computer, but was a one time thing, after that only error messages. Any ideas?

More information re the GS911 WiFi & your PC etc would be needed to assist

1/ Did yo register the GS911 ?
2/ Did you Update the GS911 firmware when you first connected it, I see you configured it into your WiFi network
3/ Did you download & Install the WiFi utilities along with the PC Application ? , if so which versions
4/ What is the PC, Win 7 or Win 10

1. Yes, i did register
2. Yes, i did the update
3. Mmmm i only installed the aplication. I also tried no my iPad, same error message.
4. Windows 7.

OK, you have done all the right things so I would suggest lodging a support ticket with Hexcode https://www.hexcode.co.za/contact-us-1

Re the WiFi Utility, it has some nice network tests in it so is useful, in addition logging into your WiFi router & setting it so it always allocates the same IP No to the GS911 is handy so you can bookmark it in browser

did u resolve your problem i just received my gs911 today and i can do an autoscan and find my ecu but when i try to connect it says its unavailable

I have 2 other bikes, and no problem whit them. i will try again whit the 1150gsa tomorrow.

On the older bikes the sidestand switch inhibits comms.  Put the bike on the main stand.

I am not saying that this is definitely the problem, but it is something that caught me out and wasted much time and effort.

Well i actually attached the gs911 with the usb cable and the pc program over the web browser and it started working

Can you confirm you updated the firmware of the GS911 & registered it ?, it is also important to specify year & model of the bike on the forum

Report the problem to Hexcode on the support email
