Title: TPS adjustment fault K1200RS K1200GT

Hello,
the GS911 works perfectly except for one function: "Throttle sensor adjustment". The test starts (green bar, approx. 1/3 long) - after approx. 20 seconds the error message "Control unit gives no feedback" appears. I have tried this also with engine running  and also on two other motorcycles (1 x BMW 589 and 2 x BMW K41 - always the same error message).
Unfortunately there are no further instructions. I have looked in the Germanand US FAQ, but not able to find something. The german site has referred me to this forum.
For the test I use a new laptop from ACER with current updates. Installed is Windows 10 professional 64 bit.
Can someone help?
Especially this feature was the main reason to buy this rather expensive device, because I had to change the sensor and the manual adjustment is very imprecise.

Is the bike on the centerstand with the sidestand retracted?

Yes. The bike is only on the centerstand with sidestand retracted.

Yesterday I checked, if the software is now working,... unfortunately not.

Any news regarding this bug?

Hallo Jörg,

this basic setting is rejected by the control unit if the throttle valve is not closed.
Your control unit reports an opening angle of 3.2 °

Thanks for the answer.
Anyway, I thought this tool is specifically for setting the throttle to the correct position!?
I had also tried it at about 0° and got the same message.
I also get the message on my second K1200 GT (K41) with the factory setting unchanged!
Now both K1200 (589 and K41) are in "hibernation and the batteries are removed, so I can possibly try a new version without bug only in spring.

I think there is another mistake.
It is necessary to measure and adjust the throttle valve positioner.
The idle switch is still located in the actuator; if this is not set correctly, the setting of the potentiometer will not work either.

Hallo,
nun auf deutsch.
Der Leerlaufschalter ist OK und schaltet auch. Habe ihn mit einem Multimeter geprüft.
Wenn das eine Bedingung ist, warum wird es dann nicht als Fehlertext angezeigt. Ich habe schließlich das Programm nicht erstellt und kenne die Bedingungen.
Da ich nur das Drosselklappenpotentiometer ausgetauscht habe, da es in der Leerlaufposition Aussetzer hatte (unruhiger Leerlauf; teilweise ging der Motor sogar beim Gas wegnehmen aus), habe ich die Anschlagschraube nicht verstellt, sondern ich hatte versucht nur das Poti einzustellen. Also eine andere Reihenfolge als in der Anleitung beschrieben (siehe Anhang).

Da ich neben der K1200RS, Baujahr 1997 noch eine K1200GT, Baujahr 2004 habe, die mehr oder weniger baugleich ist und Ihr Tool an der GT ebenfalls die gleiche Fehlermeldung liefert, ist/war es naheliegend, dass es sich um einen Bug im Programm handelt. Auch in diversen BMW Foren konnte ich nichts weiter finden.
Ich werde die Batterien erst wieder im Frühjahr einbauen, so dass ich zur Zeit keine weiteren Test durchführen kann. Da die GT im Originalzustand ist, mit Werkseinstellungen, möchte ich an ihr auch nicht die versiegelte Anschlagschraube verstellen. And der RS könnte ich "rumspielen" - sie läuft zwar im Leerlauf nun gut, aber nur im warmen Zustand. Beim Kaltstart ist die Drehzahl zu gering, so dass sie ausgeht - ich dachte ich kann dieses durch korrektes Einstellen des Potis und der Anschlagschraube mir Ihrem Programm korrigieren.
