Dumb question here, but can service reminders be reset before they appear ? The reason I ask is I will be changing the oil, filter, etc on my K1600 prior to the service indicator coming on. And if I can't reset it I will be on the road for about 5K miles before returning, and as I understand you can not reset the service reminders with the mobile app.
Thanks in advance

Using the older yellow GS-911 I was always able to reset the reminder before it showed on our 2 K1300S bikes.
My new red GS-911 Wifi will not let me reset the service reminder on our R1200RS bikes.
The verification questions every time I post on this site are are a real pain in the ass. I'm not that familiar with the boxer engine and don't know all the answers.

The old GS911 communicated with the bikes on Pins 1 & 2 of the diagnostics socket with OBDII protocol
The GS911 WiFi has OBDII protocol for old models on pins 1 & 2 then it has CAN-Diag protocol on pins 7 & 9 for new models

I have the old yeller one and I've never had a problem resetting my service reminder before, or after the service date.

On my 2015 1200GSA, I've never had the service light come on, looking at the function the date is in the past and the mileage is whatever the bike is currently at?
Tried resetting a GS yesterday and I couldn't replicate the settings on it.Ended up doing it for a year or 40,000km.
Any advise on how to reset the reminder so it never comes on?

try setting it for the next millennium and a trillion km
