Hi everyone
GS-911 V1612.7 is available for download as well as software updates for the GS-911wifi interfaces.
The major changes in this release are new cloud service functions for ZFE-Basic/ZFE-Low/ZFE-High body controllers and the KMSK16 engine controller in the GS-911wifi web interface. For the PC application, there are now service functions for BMS-E13 and KMSK16 engine controllers. On both platforms, new service functions are available to enable/disable ignition keys for the BMS-K/KP/KP2 engine controllers and XEWS4 immobilizer controller, as well as some basic autoscan support for new controllers installed on 2016/2017-model bikes (XBCL, XBMSMP1, XBMSE2, XABS9M, XKOMBI18). The GS-911wifi web interface has the added ability to scan new F800GS model bikes (PC app will soon do the same). The GS-911wifi can also now be accessed with a user-friendly name instead of an IP address.
Notable fixes are for service reminder reset functions on 2015+ R1200R and R1200RS bikes, as well as C600 Sport and C650GT bikes with the KOMBI7x instrument cluster.

Sadly I thought about people managing to block out keys which are needed, I would suggest you lodge a support ticket and until some good detailed explanations of the key learning process are posted along with the pitfalls I would suggest the feature be handled with caution ;D

The key disable function keeps the key enabled that is currently in the ignition when the function is started. The only way we think it could be possible to block all keys, is if the function is started with a blocked key in the ignition. It does not block any reserved keys, so it should still be possible to get a new key from a BMW dealer.
To re-enable a blocked key, at least one *enabled* key must be available.
We have just now released an update (V1612.9) for the PC app that includes clear, red warnings for the key disable function. It also includes some fixes for new changes that caused issues when working with the yellow GS-911usb/blu interfaces. Please update at your earliest convenience. :)
The update for the GS-911wifi web interface will also be available shortly.

I cannot get the S/W to launch.
I run MacBook Air and I get "ERROR: Another instance of GS911 WiFi is already running in the system tray! Application will exit"
I removed all components of GS911 and reloaded the S/W and got the same response when trying to launch. I also killed all the running applications and tried again with the same response.
I bought and installed the HexEZcan and added the S/W for that. Could it be interfering?

I removed all components of GS911 and reloaded the S/W and got the same response when trying to launch. I also killed all the running applications and tried again with the same response.
I bought and installed the HexEZcan and added the S/W for that. Could it be interfering?
The ezCAN software should not interfere with the GS-911wifi Utility. Do you also get the message after rebooting the Mac? If so, will you please send a request to our helpdesk with the details and indicate what version of Mac OS X you are using. http://www.hexcode.co.za/contact-us-1

You can see in the image you posted the 1612.9 version which is a further update from 1612.7, that is what you want

No it is January 2017 release not 2016, it is what you want, Francois posted into one of the other threads when they quickly released 1612.9
I am sure Francois will see this and quickly correct the date of 1612.9 showing on the web site

Oh, sorry about that. That was the typical finger trouble that happens around transitions to a new year. I have fixed it now. Thank you for noticing it. :)

We are currently working on the translations for the latest release, but cannot say when they will be available, except that it will be as soon as possible.

I was able to get the new s/w up and running but still can't get the unit to work. My laptop has good, solid wifi connection but the GS911 application cannot see my network. Aaargh!
Next step I am going to move my motorcycle closer to the router and see if that helps.

Nevermind, I once had the GS911Wifi running in my garage which is far from of router but still had a signal. The increased clutter on my workbench must have been blocking the Wifi signal. I turned the bike around to face my house and positioned the bike to have a clear view of the house and it worked! Simple solution and will know better on the next service I perform on the BMW.

Get yourself a WiFi range extender, they are low cost and work very well, we use them in business premises to improve coverage

I concur, get excellent reception in my garage now.
