Title: Won't Start
Post by: RPG on October 18, 2018, 07:01:53 PM
Bike is a 2004 R150RT with 103k. Recent issue is crank but no start or start but run super rich.

The GS911 (laptop version) was reporting very low voltage (RealTime values) for the running bike. It would show between 7.9vdc and 9vdc. I found the Motronic Relay had a rather large voltage drop so replaced it and the real time voltage more reflected battery voltage, but now the upper stick coils won't fire. Is there some setting in the GS911 I may have tripped to cause this?

Thanks,

Rick

did you perhaps start a hall sensor test at any time?

Check and re-seat the relays.

I recently had an 1150GS that did something similar.  I eventually removed the caps from all the relays, cleaned them with liberal use of some contact cleaner and popped the caps back on.  Bike has since been running like clockwork.
