r1200gs k50 year 2016. which type of transponder chip is it using.
ignition switch is ews4 type.

You would need to look for the approval/certification documents for EWS to determine the transponder IC type/details, the US system is searchable

There would probably be some Dealer documentation/training docs explaining EWS4 but I have not seen any
