I have a GS911 USB version which I have used on my 2012 R1200GS.
I am in the process of buying a 2017 F700GS which I understand needs the new USB generation 2.
Do I have to delete the present version of software running on my PC and do a completely new install and set up with the new GS911?
I hope someone can assist or do I need to raise a ticket with the help desk?
TIA
Paul

No need to remove any software, the device will work as-is, provided the software you're using is up to date and you register it using the GS-911 Downloader tool: https://www.hexcode.co.za/products/gs-911/downloads
You can either get the Gen 2 USB, or the GS-911wifi OBD-II. Both will work on your bike.

Thank you.

If I sell a GS911 do I need to deregister it?
Does the new owner just need to serial number on the unit to register it?

No need to unregister, the new owner can change the registration details: https://www.hexcode.co.za/products/gs-911/support/faq/how-do-i-update-my-registration-details

Thanks for the help!
As the new GS911 seems to be getting more detailed is there any help in the form of a manual?
I have seen the original one and that has not changed since I started using the 911 almost 5 years ago!
