Title: Marry new ABS Pump to the bike?
Post by: knappen on May 01, 2020, 08:41:01 AM
Is there any way to do it your self with some cable and software?
I have done some coding before with cars but never motorcycles...

I would like to change the ABS pump/unit on my bike and i need to marry it.
Has anyone done this? I believe the information the bike need is on the new ABS unit right?

I found this --> BMW ICOM NEXT Professional Diagnostic Tool

I've been reading your various posts about the sensors etc. Is your system now fully functional?

Yes it works fine now :)

The cheep solution is to find a sensor from a another abs and replace it. The hard part was to find the screwdriver bits that fits...  bleeding is simple just do in the right order.

I have stripped four modules and each one had a different type of security screws fitted.

The tool referred to in your link has absolutely nothing to do with Hexcode or this forum.  The GS911 can do an ABS brake test, but only BMW can re-code/marry the ABS module.

you are righr Jughead :'( :'( :'(,I am responsible for my impulse purchase now
I test on  BAFX Products BAFX3127 and they work together on my bike without issue. To reset the service interval I had to upgrade the motoscan app, which was the most expensive part, but it works and is less expensive than the GS911!

How can I do an ABS test. I am currently having an issue with my ABS system on my 2013 or 1200 GS. I recently performed the brake flush and bleed process with no issues then after about five days of riding the ABS light came on and will not go off. The ABS brakes are not working because I am able to lock up the back wheel. I am getting no error codes on my 911 tool. I have also checked the front and rear wheel sensors in the live segments when I spin the wheels they register a speed. Any questions any suggestions to help. Thanks
