GS-911 / Re: R1200gsa intermittent stall when idling
« Last post by lorenameraz on September 03, 2024, 05:15:19 PM »
It sounds like you've been thorough in trying to diagnose the issue with your 2008 BMW R1200GSA, especially considering that you've swapped coils and injectors without improvement. Given the symptoms you described, here are some potential causes to explore:

1. Clutch Issues:
Worn Clutch: A worn or slipping clutch can cause a strange feeling when pulling away from a stop, especially if the issue progressively worsens. At 50,000 miles, your clutch could be worn out, particularly if you've done a lot of heavy riding or off-roading. Consider inspecting the clutch for wear or damage.
Clutch Splines: The clutch splines could be wearing out, which might cause intermittent engagement issues. This is common in higher mileage bikes.
2. Final Drive Problems:
Drivetrain Wear: Another area to check would be the final drive. Any wear in the final drive components can cause unusual sensations when pulling away or during transitions from idle to throttle. Minecraft APK
Shaft Drive Issues: Inspect the driveshaft for any wear or damage. A damaged driveshaft could contribute to the strange feeling you're experiencing.
3. Throttle Body Sync:
Misalignment: Even though you've swapped injectors, the throttle bodies may be out of sync, causing uneven power delivery at low speeds. It might be worth checking the throttle body synchronization.
4. Fuel System:
Fuel Filter or Pump: If your fuel filter is clogged or your fuel pump isn't delivering adequate pressure, it could cause inconsistent performance. Check for any signs of fuel delivery issues.
5. Transmission Problems:
Gearbox Wear: Issues with the gearbox, such as worn bearings or gears, might cause unusual sensations when engaging the clutch or shifting gears. Inspecting the transmission could be necessary.
Given that you've swapped components like coils and injectors, focusing on mechanical aspects such as the clutch, final drive, and drivetrain might help pinpoint the issue. If the problem persists, it may be worth taking the bike to a specialist for a more in-depth diagnostic.

GS-911 / [HELP] Has the Bleed function disappeared?
« Last post by ChepaFr on September 02, 2024, 09:00:52 PM »
Has the Bleed function disappeared?

I have an old yellow 911 usb, I should update it. But I read on the Web that the Brake Bleed (for the ABS control unit) function would have disappeared in 2022? and is no more present for used?

Can someone confirm this for me?

Thanks

Ben

GS-911 / Re: 2016 R1200GS Fault code 0x21FD31 and 32 Camshaft sensor

If the sensor is faulty and testing confirms it, replacing it might resolve the issue. As you mentioned, you’d prefer not to throw parts at it, so it’s worth doing the diagnostic steps first. Also, ensure that the camshaft timing is set correctly. Incorrect timing can sometimes trigger similar fault codes.solar smash

GS-911 / Please add NAV PREPARATION retrofit on K1600GTLe
« Last post by Ken0150 on August 31, 2024, 09:40:59 AM »
Hi, I just bought a CarPlay/AndroidAuto device with BMW adapter and it has to show all the engine related data on display but i can only get the range remaining and the “battery low” warning.
I reached out to the service manufacturer and they said that I have to go to BMW and make them install the NAV PREP PACKAGE 0272 But since i got the GS911 and I see that in retrofit there is the possibility to add it i would like to do it by my self…
but the gs911 app (pc or iOS) says that it is not available for my bike yet. Can you please add it? I am willing to test it of you want.

i did not write the device name since i dont know if it is allowed here but feel free to PM me.

Thank you!

Hi all! I am a new member and owner of a 2016 K1600 GTL EXCLUSIVE
I bought a gs911 some months ago to solve the recurrent windscreen calibration problem.

Now I am here to see what I can also do with this marvelous piece of equipment!!!

I’ve just had a look at the admore stuff but unfortunately no switches. Looks like I’m going to have to design and build my own. What I have works but it was never a permanent solution. I’ll shrink it down using smaller sized relays and a microcontroller linked to the buttons on the handlebar and the rest of the electronics. It would be nice to link in with the hex can but you can’t have everything.

GS-911 / Re: Adding DWA alarm
« Last post by Wilco on August 30, 2024, 04:01:34 PM »
Thanks. When I enter my bike’s model and year ie F850GS TE 2023 it states that I need SKU: 65755A958C2

It then lists several models that this new version replaces ie:

Other Names:
Superseded
Description:
For vehicles with central locking system [X417A (+)] or alarm systems [X603A (+)]. --.
Notes:
Dwa8 basic.
Replaces:
65751541294, 65755A78C89, 77538530130, 77538535032, 77538548251, 77538554348, 77539443591

DWA8 Basic is what we call the XDWA. I believe the "Replaces" part numbers are the previous iterations, but are all DWA 8 modules and should all be compatible with your bike.
Getting any of these second hand and retrofitting with the GS-911 will be the simplest solution. I've moved one of these alarms between quite a few bikes during testing.

GS-911 / BMW r1250GS/A Daytime Running Light EU vs USA
« Last post by Ron from BC on August 30, 2024, 02:25:23 PM »
The LED headlight on these models have that X pattern.  On EU  models this is the only part of the headlight which is illuminated and acts as the Daytime Running Light (DRL).  There is a button on the left control switch to turn on/off.  On US and CDN models this function is not available and instead the DRL is just the low beam headlight and that DRL switch on the left is not there.

Now there is a way to have that EU X pattern DRL on North American models by holding the turn signal cancel button for 5 seconds and then press that button to the right for another 5 seconds.  The low beam then turns off and is replaced by the LED X pattern.  The TFT then shows that there is a fault with the low beam.  The X pattern DRL will remain on until the next ignition cycle.

With the recent updates to this bike via the GS-911 allowing different TFT screen appearances (Sport etc) and the ability to have the rear indicator lights as cruising lights is it possible to have the GS-911 program the bike's system to allow this X pattern for US/CDN models instead of having the low beam as the DRL?

Thanks....
