This is NOT a question re the new Beta or its download!
Just information - do not ask if the download fail the first time!
When I tried to download the new Beta I had to try 3 times.
It downloaded with no problem.
It was checked for viruses and so on.
When I tried to run it I was told the file could not be found.
I run WIN7 on this PC
It took 3 tries before it worked. = the file was saved where I wanted it to be.
I have a fast connection and a "good" PC.
--------------
If the download does not work the first time, try once more!

Haakon, The download should work the first time. And I would like to hear about it if you need to try 3 times before the download works.

What you are describing though does not look like a download problem at all, but rather that your anti-virus is deleting/locking the file while scanning it  - after it has been downloaded ok.
Unfortunately, Anti-Virus systems are the blight of low volume software. I think the logic is something like: "Oh... never seen this .exe before... hmm...must be a virus".

Avast is currently aborting downloads and execution of GS911Downloader.exe claiming it contains Win32: Evo-gen [Susp]. The funny thing is that when scanning the file, Avast reports it to be ok... ???

I didn't have any issues with Beta version 1408 though. Of course other AV solutions may misbehave in different ways.
