Title: ezCAN with a KTM
Post by: AllyB1966 on March 25, 2022, 12:11:36 AM
Hello,  I'm looking to install at least 1 maybe 2 ezCAN's on my 2017 KTM 1290 SAT.
It's best to describe what I want to happen and then try to figure out what I need or am missing...
I have a pair of Clearwater lights that I'd like to have as DRL at 30% daytime, 20% nighttime, and 100% with high beam.
I have a pair of Denali 2.0 DM pods that I'd like to have working as turn indicators, coming on with the turn indicators, while the Clearwater on the corresponding side turns off when the indicator is on.
I have an Innovv K2, a heated jacket/gloves, and a powered tank ring to be added to the system too.
So, how do I go about the connections and what wiring do I need?
All help is greatly appreciated.

Hi Ally

Sounds like a great setup you have planned there!

Best would firstly be to spread the power hungry clearwater lights and the heated gear across 2 ezCANs, and divide the rest appropriately. The ideal setup would look something like this:
- ezCAN 1:
 - Clearwater split on red and blue channels.
 - Innovv on yellow.
 - Tank ring on white.

- ezCAN 2:
 - Heated gear on red.
 - Denali DMs on blue and yellow.
 - White can be used at a later stage for another accessory.

Your Clearwater lights can be configured as Aux 1 lights and the off when turn signal active feature can be toggled.

DMs can either be setup as aux lights 2 on the 2nd ezCAN or simply configured as turn signals with/without a running light intensity.

If the former, you will need to toggle the feature for "Off when turn signal active" on, and click on the word "Off", which will give you the option to flash when turn signal active.

That should get you sorted, feel free to let me know if you have any questions.

Kind regards and safe travels
