Bike is an R1200RT LC 2014.
I have the unit running and working great; just have a few questions on the terminology used in the real-time date:
Ignition coil closing time?  - is this is duration of pulse sent to the ignition coil(s)?  Should this value change depending on conditions?
Ignition angle? - my guess that this is the ignition timing in degrees BTDC?
Injection time? - duration of fuel injection pulse?

Finally what is the "Oil Switch"?  - does this control flow to the oil cooler?
A list explaining each of the functions would be nice, some are obvious and some you can google of course...

the Oil Switch is a component of the  oil level sensor.

Ignition coil closing time,
The ignition output stage switches on a current from the on-board electrical system through the primary coil before the required ignition time. While the primary circuit is closed (closing time), a magnetic field is built up in the primary coil. When the ignition time is reached, the current is interrupted again by the primary coil. The energy of the magnetic field discharges via the magnetically coupled secondary coil (induction). This creates a high voltage in the secondary coil, which generates the ignition spark at the spark plug.

Ignition angle, Injection time are values as you mentioned.

The main influential parameters are:
Engine speed
Engine load
Current lambda value
Coolant temperature and intake air temperature
Fuel grade (octane number)
Engine operation (engine start, idling, partial throttle, full throttle)

OK - yes thanks - so ignition coil closing time is what used to be called "dwell angle" on old contact- breaker ignition.  To be clear the "oil switch" is the signal for the "oil OK" indicator?
