2014 1200GS tyre pressure monitors
« on: August 31, 2015, 09:22:34 PM »
Hello, I have a 2014 1200GS Adventure fitted with tyre pressure monitors. They work well.
However, can you reduce the pressure at which they signal a problem or even deactivate them for eg sand riding.
I do not see anything under the tyre pressure monitor section of GS 911 version: 1411.2 or in the bike owners manual??
Thanks in anticipation,
Kelly in Klerksdorp

Hello Kelly and welcome to GS-911-Forum.

I think there is no option to set another basic tyre pressure. Front > 2,5 bar  Rear > 2,9 bar.
This will be programmed in the ECU and I can't find any documentations to adapt this values.

Kelly,

On the K50/K51 bikes (yours is the K51) you can tell the ECU not to warn you about low pressures when riding in enduro or enduro pro mode. Have a look in your bike's manual, this behaviour can be configured on the instrument panel's setup mode.

Thank you for the prompt replies. This bike is a K25. Do I still have the option to cancel the low pressure warnings?

My apologies, I assumed K51 because of the year. Unfortunately, as far as I know, the TPMS cannot be disabled (or the threshold set) on the K25, but maybe someone with more knowledge of those can give some input.
