2015 S1000RR won't connect to tool

So I just got my GS-911USB enthusiast, which is for my 15 S1KRR. It will not connect and in fact I get a message when I try, saying it's not compatible with my bike. So I come on here and read this post, http://forum.hexcode.co.za/forum/index.php/topic,661.0.html, which basically talks about the pin-outs being different between the tool and the bike. My pin-outs are different, so does that mean I was sent the wrong GS-911 tool? I appreciate anyone who can shed some light on this for me. I'm hoping I can just rewire one or some the of pins in the tool to match my machine. Thanks again.

In the list of bikes that require the GS-911wifi is the S1000RR (K46) 2015+ which sounds like your bike.

OK, thanks for the reply, that's what I thought. According to the merchants site I  bought it from, the only restrictions on the unit I chose to purchase was, "DOES NOT WORK ON WATERCOOLED 1200GS OR K1600 MODELS. PLEASE SEE WIFI VERSION." I don't mind spending $100 more for the wifi version but by all indications this one was advertised to work on my machine. I'll have to contact the dealer I purchased from, and hopefully I can just send this one back, pay a little more dough, and get a tool that works. Thanks again for you reply.
