I am very satisfied with the GS911. Reading earlier posts on this forum the response to queries were always very prompt and effective. Fail to understand this. Even the website's latest "News" is dated Nov 9, 2014... "Release version 1411 is now available".

Disappointing.  :'(

I raised it with Hexcode and they will put the announcement and release notes on line, they are very busy coding away at the moment so be patient please

I can tell you that in the 1503 version you can use autoscan to use emergency functions for the Husky Terra/Nuda Models as I have just tested it

Thank you for the feedback Wayne. Will be interesting to see the new latest development and ratio of improvement i.t.o. new models vs increased functionality for previously supported models.

Have raised it with Hexcode and they will put up the release announcement and release notes, they ar a little busy coding away at the moment

I just tested it with the Husky Terra and Nuda, no Series Menu but autoscan finds them and ECU info/fault codes/real time recording are all there

I just tried dowloading the new Downloader and the 1503.2 release. My Norton antivirus program (current version) kicks out each of them.

GS911 Downloader is Marked UNTRUSTWORTHY, MEDIUM RISK

1503.2 is Marked, Suspicious.Cloud.9 HIGH RISK, file eliminated.

Is anyone else getting these errors? Is there a Hexcode response?

We would need to know the Antivirus Software and the data version you are using to comment on it

Once you have that information please lodge a support ticket with Hexcode so they are aware of it and can contact the Antivirus Company

Hi Wayne,
I did post a ticket. I will add a screen shot with the Norton About info to it. My main question is, are those download safe in spite of the Norton warnings? Can you run them through your virus scan to confirm that the download site hasn't been corrupted.

FYI also posted a couple other Wifi tickets for the R1200GS LC and R1150 regarding data accuracy for Lambda Control (binary) and Lambda Correction Factors. I'm hoping those issues are resolved in 1503.2, which is why I'm trying to download them.
Regards,
Roger

Hi Wayne, A little further info. I uploaded the GS Downloader and gs-911-1503 to Virustotal.com. It checked both programs against 57 different virus checkers.

GS Downloader passed all but Symantec (ws.reputation.1)
gs-911-1503 passed all but Rising (PE:Trojan.GenericKD!6.1A47) and Symantec (WS.Reputation.1)

That means it passed many malware checks as well as Trend and Macafee

What do you think?

Antivirus false alarms are not uncommon and when they occur it can be hard for smaller companies to sort it out with the AV suppliers. The first a Co like Hexcode knows about it is when users like us let them know, as much as we would like them to have ESP I am afraid they dont  ;D

There have been some false alarms in the past, even on the android app from memory, we should let them know what you have found

I have run AV over all the current versions here without any problems so I would not be concerned but good you have raised it

For anyone interested, I submitted the 1503 file to Symantec. They agreed it is a false positive and will fix their software to white-list it. I will submit the downloader to Symantec today.

Good to hear and thank you for taking the time to do it, it is usually up to me to do that in my day job away from the GS911

I just heard back from Symantec on the GS911 Downloader. It was also a false positive and they Will fix their detection error.

An update from them around the same time also blocked docx attachments on sending email which corrected a few hours later, perhaps not their finest hour
