Hello
2019 R 1250 GS throwing code and went into limp mode. I checked cam timing and reluctor position. I cleaned the cam timing sensor and re-installed. I need to know the sequence to Reset camshaft adjustment.  I perform the Hex GS911 steps I can hear the cams moving, but I get the message, " A negative response was received from the vehicle. The preconditions or sequence order was not met for this controller"
Does anyone have any advice for this situation?
Thank You

Hello
FYI
Remove the camshaft position sensor and check for contamination (metal wear debris).
Check the sensor gap to the camshaft.
Check the sensor wheel for twisting on the camshaft.
Check timing.
Check camshaft position sensor.
Check that the increment wheel is firmly seated on the crankshaft.
Check the lines, wiring harness and plug connections to the camshaft sensor.
Check the plug connection from the wiring harness to DME.

After rectifying the fault, reset the mixture preparation adaptation values.

And please check timing chain tensioner

Thanks Schuppi,
I removed sensor and cleaned.
Sensor gap is good
I verified the cam is in time at TDC
I verified the reluctor/sensor wheel is in line and torqued properly
I will reset the mixture adaptation values.
What is a increment wheel?
What is the DME? Digital Motor Electronics AKA ECU Nevermind.

Hello
increment wheel?  >> The wheel is jammed on the camshaft and runs past the sensor.
Attach the sensor wheel at TDC with the mark on the center of the sensor.  M5 x 20 - 10.9
 8 Nm

What is the DME? Digital Motor Electronics >> That's the ECU
