the K1600 cluster could never add the tyre temps display

now I'm beginning to think they left the physical pressure sensor off current models - have the penny pinching gits gone to the VAG junk idea badly based on ABS wheel speed sensor readings ?

Both the Schrader system and the newer one by LDL Technology measure pressure and temperature. No BMW system relies on rotation speed to detect low tire pressure.
Hey BMW: No service manual = no new bike.

thats rather intriguing - I tested a R1300 -

and never found any menus re TPS/RDC, mind you can’t find anything on the modern bikes...
the BMW configurator tool mentions nothing about choosing RCD (which might be as now legal requirement ?  it is on cars in the EU)
nor lists it in the VO anymore
but the owners manual does have it in the engineering section page 203 and it reads like the real sensors
